The Corner Cupboard is a Family run Business with Stewart and His wife Judith looking after the Catering side of the House and Andrew looking after the front of House.
Andrew has been involved in Entertainment since 1976 when he built and Ran his first Mobile Disco. From his first show which was at Winchcombe Youth Club he then Built it into the Largest mobile disco show in the area. Many people will remember The Silver Fire Disco. Especially the Friday Night show at what used to be the Plough Hotel in Cheltenham, which alas is no longer there, now being the site of the Regent Arcade.
Andrew later moved into Karaoke and built a Business of Ten Roadshows that were working all over the UK. After a Holiday in Florida Andrew sold the Business and moved to Tampa Bay where he continued to work In Cabaret and also ran Discos and Karaoke for a period of Ten Years.
Since returning to the UK in 2000 andrew has worked in Sales and Marketing, but due to the growing levels of Traffic on the Roads decided to have a change of Life style and when the Corner Cupboard came on the market decided to "Carpe Diem ".
Judith Sturge has worked with her Husband Stewart for many Years now, from when he was at the Old Barn. She is an Integral part of the team and will be Making many of the Deserts that will be appearing on the Menu. This means that we will be offering Home Made Deserts that will excite the Taste Buds and possibly Expand the Waist Line. Judith is also a Fully Qualified Reflexologist Aromatherapist and so will be able to offer our Guests a relaxing Reflexology session, or perhaps a Massage if you have over done it with the Walking. Rates will be available upon Request
Stewart Sturge is our Chef and will be doing all of the cooking at the Corner Cupboard.
During the 70's and 80's he worked at many of the premier Hotels in the Area. such as the Carlton Hotel, The De La Bere, The Lilleybrook Hotel and also the Frogmill. Then Moving out of the area to the Old Barn at Glooston where he was the owner with his friend and Business Partner Charles Edmondson- Jones.
After selling the Business in 2000 Stewart worked as head Chef of Houstons in Leicester. This being a destination venue offering Live Music and top quality food.
